Abstract: This paper analyzes the aviation industry’s response to the global challenge of climate change. As international agreements like the Paris Agreement set goals to limit global temperature rise, industries worldwide are being called to take action. The aviation industry, one of the major contributors to greenhouse gas emissions, faces both pressure and opportunities to innovate for sustainability. This study examines the current technological advancements and regulatory measures implemented by the aviation industry to reduce environmental impact, including efforts to introduce SAF(Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and alternative fuels, the development of electric aircraft, the efficient use of electricity, and the redesign of aircraft shapes to improve fuel efficiency. Through an analysis of the aviation industry’s carbon reduction activities, the study explores the challenges and potential future pathways for the aviation industry to contribute to a more sustainable future while balancing economic and operational demands.
