Escolas, palco e alvo de massacres: (trans)formações do código da violência
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: With a Laplanchean reading, we understand the school simultaneously as target and stage of massacres. Target, because it is the receiver of ipsocentric translations of the sexual death drive, using the violence discourse as a narcissistic response to the original psychic passivity and social submission imposed by adults. Stage, as a source, a melting pot of messages sent by adult world, also affected by sexual death drive, appealing to violent social codes in paradoxical translations – demonizing or valuing otherness. By making schools as stage and target, massacres question about the limits of their codes to set up coexistence, denouncing their inadequacy, and demand translations with codes that help to distinguish psychic violence from social violence, linking drives without attacking people in order to transform the code of violence.
