Abstract: The incidence of HBV infection is said to be on the downward trend with the introduction of HBV vaccine,however this is not the case in low income countries like Nigeria where HBV infection is still endemic. This could be due to lack of awareness and unavailability of HBV vaccines,hence the need to assess the knowledge gap among ESKD who are at increased risk of HBV due to repeated blood transfusion.
