Type: article
Abstract: The use of AgNp's as germination and growth promoters of corn (Zea mayz) and barley (Hordeum vulgare) maximize germination times and provide a better yield in terms of obtaining the harvest of the aforementioned seeds. Within the results of this study, it was observed that there is a better germination with respect to the plants that do not contain the silver nanoparticle solution, reflected in a greater emergence and uniformity observed in the final germination, mainly due to the penetration of nanomaterials in the seed that allow increasing the imbibition of water. The doses administered did not damage the cells and in some cases the amount of leaf area damaged was much lower in seedlings treated with nanoparticles than in untreated seedlings.
