An Experimental Investigation of the Durability of RC Beams Constructed with Conventional Concrete and the Less Expensive Bubble Deck Method of Field Construction

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: For the construction of houses and other structures, beams are a necessary tectonic component. This greatly reduces the structural dead load by effectively removing the non-structural concrete from the beam's core. When spheres of various sizes and shapes are used in place of the core, the result is a bubble beam. The benefits of factory-made materials and components, controlled conditions, on- and off-site finishing, Hollow Bubble Deck technology, and controlled settings are numerous. There are numerous advantages, such as reduced total expenses, enhanced structural effectiveness, reduced material usage, expedited construction, and environmental friendliness. High-density polyethylene balls are used in place of concrete for the midsection of the beam
