Abstract: As autonomous vehicle networks evolve, securing them against advanced cyber threats is becoming increasingly crucial. Traditional cryptographic methods are inadequate for these demands. This paper examines quantum cryptography, focusing on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), to enhance security in these networks. A network architecture incorporating quantum cryptographic protocols, and an outline of the necessary hardware and software are proposed. Simulations demonstrate the advantages of quantum cryptography in ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and authenticity. However, challenges such as scalability and integration persist. These challenges are discussed, along with suggestions for future research, concluding that quantum cryptography has the potential to significantly improve the security of autonomous vehicle networks.
