Abstract: This paper examines, from the perspective of recent sensory studies, a gene¬rally overlooked aspect of the apocryphal legend of Adam and Eve, with special reference to the oldest Romanian version dating back to the 17th century. Based on a rich interna¬tional bibliography in the field of adjacent medieval studies, the issue of temptation and original sin, with the associated moral-religious implications, is specifically investigated by analyzing the representation and codification of the senses of the Adamic couple.
