Type: article
Abstract: The Co/Zn-MOFs material was synthesized successfully via the solvothermal method and then underwent calcination at 900 °C. To investigate its structural properties, multiple characterization techniques were applied, such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD), and nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherms. These analyses aimed to assess the features of the carbon material for its efficacy in minocycline removal. The experimental findings demonstrated that the ideal conditions for maximizing minocycline adsorption on the carbon material obtained from Co/Zn-MOFs comprised a dosage of 20 mg, a solution concentration of 50 ppm, and a pH level of 10. Furthermore, kinetic studies revealed that the pseudo-second-order model accurately represented the experimental data. In conclusion, this research underscores the remarkable adsorption capability of the carbon material derived from Co/Zn-MOFs for minocycline, indicating potential applications in environmental cleanup and presenting an innovative approach for environmental preservation. The Co/Zn-MOFs material was successfully synthesized via the solvothermal method, followed by calcination at 900 °C. Co/Zn-MOFs carbon material were employed to investigate the properties of carbon materials for potential applications in minocycline removal. Experimental findings indicate that optimal conditions for maximum adsorption of minocycline onto Co/Zn-MOFs derived carbon material are achieved with a mass of 20 mg, a concentration of 50 ppm in solution, the maximum adsorption capacity of Co/Zn-MOF-derived carbon material for minocycline is 347.1 mg/g under constant concentration and mass conditions, with a solution pH value of 10.Furthermore, theoretical analysis based on kinetic modeling supports the suitability of the pseudo-second kinetic model to describe these experimental results. • Co/Zn-MOFs -derived porous carbon materials with excellent properties was synthesized and investigated for minocycline adsorption. • Co/Zn-MOFs -derived porous carbon materials exhibited a maximum minocycline adsorption capacity of 347.1 mg/g from aqueous solution. • This adsorption process conformed to the pseudo-second-order kinetics and the influence factor of adsorption by Co/Zn-MOFs -derived porous carbon materials.
