Abstract: of the research: This research aims to study (the idea of divinity among the two saints Bonaventura and Thomas Aquinas), who are pioneers of Western thought.The study attempted to reveal the concept of the idea of divinity among them, and thus this idea differs in its nature and reality from the rest of the philosophers of the Middle Ages.The study showed that the idea of the existence of God according to (Bonaventura) is that it exists in every human being through instinct.The study also showed that what distinguishes the philosophy of Saint (Bonaventura) from other philosophers is his tendency towards the mystical experience that mixes philosophy with religion.The study revealed that God is different from all other creatures in that He is purely rational, and this rational being, free of any material element, is such that there is no distinction in it.The study revealed the opinion of (Saint Thomas Aquinas) about God, as he provided several proofs for His existence, indicating that His existence is not clear in itself -and therefore it needs proof.His philosophy is also characterized by the tendency to reconcile different philosophical opinions, and for this purpose it relied on the critical approach.The critical study came in response to
