Abstract: In recent times, traumatic brain injury (TBI) has been acknowledged as a primary cause of mortality and impairment post-injury globally, emerging as a significant public health issue.Research has shown that traumatic brain injury promotes the challenges of originating neurological diseases autumn of life.According to the Global Burden of Disease Study, there were 27.08 million new instances of traumatic brain injury (TBI) globally in 2016. Material and methods:The patients for research were 461 based on exclusion & inclusion criteria. All the comprise patients were confirmed by the department of neurosurgery who were diagnosed as TBI patients within 24 hours of accidents.Serum copper and serum iron were determined on CST 180 in the biochemistry laboratory. The connection of the baseline serum copper and serum iron level were evaluated with consciousness and final result post treatment of the TBI patients. Results: Serum copper noticed normal (90-190) µg/dl in all age group of both severe and moderate TBI patients except the severe patients of age group (31-40) years where decreased level of copper (88.47±45) µg/dl was observed.Serum iron level were found normal (45-182) µg/dl in TBI patients except in moderate TBI patients of age group (51-60) years and age group(30-40)years of severe TBI patients where it was observed diminished (43±18.20)µg/dl & (40.08±32.64)g/dl respectively. The association of serum copper level (0.00002) and serum iron level (0.00116) with the result after six month (GOS based) linkage were noticed significant.Similarly, the connection of receptivity and Serum level of copper (0.00004) and serum level of iron (0.00116) was deliberated and analyzed crucial relationship. Conclusion: The plasma level of copper level and serum level of iron were both seen significantly associated with both consciousness and ultimate result in the TBI patients. The serum copper and iron may take part in prognostication and projection of the diseases in TBI patients.
