Year: 2024
Type: article
Study design: Clinical Trial
Abstract: The purpose of this study was to find out how externalization affected the development of writing skills. Externalization can help students to convert tacit knowledge into explicit one that can be comprehended by others. The participants of the research were fifth preparatory students from Al-Jihad Preparatory School in Babylon, Iraq. The research used an experimental design. The researcher demonstrated that the externalization method is very successful in enhancing pupils' writing performance. This is accomplished by the use of several strategies, including metaphor, analogies, role-play, and storytelling. The data were gathered using a pre-test and post-test methodology. The findings indicate that the experimental group achieved higher scores in the post-test compared to the control group, which was instructed using conventional methods.
