Abstract: Recently, Yang et al. published a study in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences showing how in tilapia, behavioral fever helps optimizing antimicrobial immunity by alleviating T-cell apoptosis. The current manuscript is a short commentary on this landmark study.
