Abstract: As part of a collaborative initiative focused on studying the local biodiversity of the Mataquito River in central Chile, rediscovery and revalidation of Solanum sanfurgoi is presented. This species was previously known only from a single specimen collected in 1895 and was considered a synonym of Solanum grandidentatum since 2023. An updated description of the species is provided, along with an illustration and a key for the Morelloid clade in central Chile.
