Abstract: Using The Untamed and its transcultural fanworks as a case study, this video essay shows how logics of modular affectivity are at the heart of remix and fan culture, as official and fan authors alike repeat and recontextualize beloved image-moments, which in turn gather new emotional resonances as they spread across fan spaces.
