Abstract: Deterministic emission of shaped microwave photons is important for high-efficiency transmission of quantum information, and thus is crucial for building long-range quantum networks. Current approaches are hindered by the need for complex flux-tunable elements, as well as a small linear range of tunable coupling. This study demonstrates a simple and scalable photon generator that modulates qubit-resonator coupling without extra elements, achieving high-fidelity photon emission with minimal spurious frequency shifts, making it a promising solution for future quantum networks using both single-rail and time-bin encoding.
