Penerapan Metode Brainstorming Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran IPS Terpadu Kelas VII di SMPIT Al-Faruq Kota Gorontalo

Abstract: This study aims to student learning outcomes in the subject of integrated social science by applying the brainstorming learning method. The researches acted as the teacher while being assisted by integrated social science teacher as an observer. Furthernore, this study was conducted over two cycles, with each cycle comprising two meetings. Each cycle included four phases: planning, implemention, observation, and reflection. The subjects of the study were all 30 students in class VII at SMPIT (Integrated Islamic junior high scholl) Al faruq, Gorontalo city, consisting of 10 female and 20 male students. Data were collected through tests and observations. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively in a descriptive manner for observational data and implementation, observation, and reflection. The findings indicate an enhancement in student learning outcomes of class VII in the subject of integrated social science at SMPIT Al Frauq, Gorontalo city, between cycle I and cycle II. The average score before the application was 67; after cycle I, the average enhaced to 72, and after cycle II, it rose to 78.
