Abstract: This project presents a cost-effective, intelligent walking aid designed to address navigation challenges faced by visually impaired individuals. The proposed system combines sensors, a microcontroller, and real-time alerts to simulate artificial vision and ensure user safety. The core components include an ultrasonic sensor and a water sensor. The ultrasonic sensor detects obstacles by emitting waves and measuring reflections, while the water sensor identifies wet, potentially slippery surfaces. These sensors are interfaced with a NodeMCU microcontroller, which serves as the central processing unit. The NodeMCU processes sensor data and triggers immediate auditory alerts through buzzers when hazards are detected. The real-time feedback mechanism empowers users to navigate their environment with enhanced safety and confidence. This project demonstrates a practical solution for improving the mobility and quality of life for visually impaired individuals, contributing to the development of advanced assistive technologies.
