Abstract: Louis Brehony's monograph raises new questions regarding the role of music in the Palestinian liberation struggle.Focused mainly on the life journeys of Palestinian musicians from several generations, various backgrounds, and geographic locations, the book provides an ethnomusicological understanding of their musical narratives and is a valuable document on music in Palestinian history making.
