Abstract: The financial sector is undergoing a paradigm shift with the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) into financial modeling.These technologies have transformed risk assessment, forecasting, and decision-making, thereby providing significant advantages to both small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and large financial institutions.This paper reviews state-of-the-art methodologies, presents surveys and case studies that illustrate statistics and metrics of their performance, and compares traditional financial modeling techniques with AI/MLbased approaches.In addition, tables are provided to summarize key comparisons and survey outcomes.The review concludes with discussions on challenges, future trends, and the critical importance of retaining talent to complete ongoing research endeavors.
