Abstract: Mental health is an essential component of human rights, yet disparities in access, stigma, and inadequate policy implementation persist worldwide. This paper explores global perspectives on mental health rights, examining international legal frameworks such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR), and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). Regional differences in mental health policies and laws highlight both progressive reforms and ongoing challenges in ensuring equitable care. The discussion further delves into real-world obstacles, including stigma, underfunding, and workforce shortages, which hinder the effective realization of mental health rights. Emerging trends, such as digital mental health solutions, integration of mental health into primary care, and workplace mental health initiatives, present opportunities for innovation. Advocacy, legal reforms, and increased funding remain critical in bridging the mental health treatment gap and ensuring a human rights-based approach to mental well-being. The paper concludes that sustained efforts in policy development, community engagement, and technological advancements are essential to achieving global mental health equity.
