Abstract: • Simulation has been proposed as an effective educational strategy to improve end-of-life care skills among nursing students. However, research in this area is limited. • Our results show simulation as an effective method for enhancing the knowledge and confidence nursing students in providing care for perinatal bereavement. Our evaluation has reported statistically significant differences. • The Perinatal Bereavement Care Confidence Scale (PBCCS). It is a validated scale and is a valid and reliable tool with good psychometric properties. Simulation has been proposed as an effective educational strategy to improve end-of-life care skills among nursing students. To determine whether the educational intervention "Grief Care Training Workshop" and the Objective Structured Clinical Assessment improve nursing students' bereavement care knowledge, bereavement care skills, and self-awareness. This prospective, analytical cohort study evaluated whether the educational intervention "Grief Care Training Workshop" and the Objective Structured Clinical Assessment enhance knowledge, skills, and self-awareness in bereavement care. The sample included 54 students in the control group and 60 in the intervention group. Significant improvements were observed in bereavement care knowledge, skills, and self-awareness both immediately after the intervention and 6 months later. Comparing the control group with the intervention group, significant differences were found, with a large effect size across all variables. Students also reported high satisfaction with the intervention. The results demonstrate that simulation is an effective method for increasing nursing students' knowledge and confidence in providing perinatal bereavement care.
