Abstract: In the intricate tapestry of biodiversity, cryptic species‐morphologically similar yet genetically and biologically distinct‐pose considerable identification challenges. This comprehensive study utilizes Bemisia tabaci, an economically significant pest and a paradigm of cryptic species complexity, to establish a robust framework for species delimitation. This framework not only resolves issues of species‐level taxonomic assignment within the B. tabaci complex, but also paves the way for future analyses of other cryptic species, deepening our understanding of biodiversity and its ecological and evolutionary implications (see pages 321–342).
