On $2$-dominated operators on $\ell_{p}$ spaces

Abstract: We use the Maurey factorization theorem to obtain a new characterization of 2 -dominated operators on a product of \ell_{p} spaces. This new characterization is used to find the necessary and sufficient conditions for some diagonal operators on a product of \ell_{p} spaces to be 2 -dominated.
