Abstract: Eagle syndrome is a rare clinical condition that presents with symptoms such as brain fog, dizziness, headache, and head pressure sensations due to anatomic compression of the structures exiting the jugular foramen, including the jugular vein. Jugular vein decompression is one method of treatment for patients with Eagle syndrome. In our practice, jugular vein decompression consists of a hybrid approach, with patients first undergoing partial diagastric resection, venolysis of the jugular vein, styloidectomy, and partial osteotomy of the transverse process of the C1 vertebra.
