Type: article
Abstract: The article considers the problems of the development of unmanned aircraft systems in the Russian Federation, analyzes the demand for unmanned aerial vehicles in modern conditions. The assessment of the current state of design and production of brushless DC electric motors, which are the main component of propeller-driven groups of unmanned aerial vehicles of airplane and multirotor type, is given. The correlation of the required thrust of propeller-driven groups and operating modes (application scenarios) of multirotor unmanned aerial vehicles has been carried out. It is shown that in order to achieve maximum energy efficiency of propeller groups in electric power plants, it is necessary to coordinate the parameters and characteristics of the propeller and the electric motor. The parameters of the propeller that affect the energy consumption of the propeller group (diameter, pitch, number of blades, profile and shape of the blades, relative tread of the propeller) are determined. It is shown that static thrust can be studied to assess the energy consumption of a propeller group. An experimental assessment of the degree of influence of the propeller parameters on energy efficiency has been carried out. A significant influence of the diameter and number of propeller blades on the energy consumption of the propeller group has been revealed.
