Abstract: The article which we present shows an analysis from the onomastic point of view of the novel The Musketeers in the Balkans, written by G. Banea, an author who is less known to contemporary readers. With this purpose, place names found in the text, people’s names (official and unofficial denomination formulae, nicknames and appellations) as well as the title of the novel and the titles of the chapters will be discussed. The title of the novel is a nominal one and for the titles of the chapters, the author opts for the narrative title, which, most of the times, is extensively built, like a summary. The toponyms reinforce the authenticity of the plot of the novel. In the text, there are recorded village names from Bulgaria and Romania and the anthroponyms have an important role in the building and description of the characters.
