Abstract: People's way of life, with all its complex aspects, would be inconceivable without the perception of the ways in which leisure, and therefore entertainment, is organised. Whether we are talking about time at the end of working hours or at weekends, people have organised their hours of rest and leisure according to their social status. Without doubt, entertainment was one of the important dimensions of social sociability, an indispensable element in everyday life, whether it included reading, visits to the theatre or cinema, museums, strolls in the park, having a coffee, gambling or sports activities.
