The use of Coriolis meter as transfer standards in the field of fluid flow
Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: For successful comparisons conducted at the highest metrological level, the use of best existing transfer standards is an important prerequisite. In the field of fluid flow, Coriolis flow meters have established as suitable transfer standards due to their low meter uncertainty. The suitability was proved during several national and international comparisons. The aim of this paper is to summarize the experiences and findings from completed comparisons and offering recommendations for the best practice use of Coriolis flow meters. The presentation will provide the latest insights and information into the use of Coriolis meter used in comparisons. Emphasis will be placed on critical aspects of ongoing discussions, specifically regarding zero setting, dependencies on temperature effects and the influence of disturbed inflow conditions. The authors will showcase practical applications that demonstrate how this knowledge is applied to upcoming key comparisons in the field of fluid flow.
