One New Species of Thaxterogaster Subgenus Riederorum (Agaricales) from India

Abstract: The family Cortinariaceae is one of the dominant groups of mushrooms in the Indian Himalayas. Currently, this family includes ten genera, with Thaxterogaster being one of them. This study introduces a new species, T. thindii, collected from the state of Meghalaya, and provides an overview of its morphology along with molecular phylogenetic analysis.
