Ai-enhanced Grpc Load Testing and Benchmarking

Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: Performance testing is an essential practice for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of distributed systems, particularly within microservices architectures. As modern applications demand faster and more efficient communication protocols, gRPC (google Remote Procedure Calls) has gained prominence due to its low-latency, high-performance capabilities. This paper explores the application of two popular performance testing tools—Apache JMeter and Gatling—to benchmark gRPC services. By conducting various types of performance evaluations, including load testing, spike testing, endurance testing, and stress testing, we aim to understand the performance characteristics of gRPC under diverse traffic conditions. These insights are instrumental for developers seeking to optimize their services for production-scale deployments and ensure robustness in real-world scenarios.
