Abstract: The recording of pressure and shear forces during the sitting posture in a wheelchair is important for verifying or guiding the choice of postural units for the pelvis of patients in rehabilitation. The use of a sensorized mattress during dynamic tests with patients provides objective data that can be easily interpreted by the doctor and the occupational therapist and helps in the decision of the functionally best solution. The present study concerns the choice of the pelvic postural unit, based on objective, subjective and clinical-functional data, for three post-stroke patients.
