Abstract: Spontaneous splenic rupture is an exceedingly rare condition, with no documented cases occurring in patients with myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS). In this case study, we have reported a patient with low-risk MDS who was treated primarily with Epoetin Alpha subcutaneous injections to manage his Anemia for nearly one year and was subsequently diagnosed with spontaneous splenic rupture in our department, which was treated with urgent splenectomy.
