Abstract: This study investigates the relationships between childhood traumatic experiences, mental health outcomes, and social capital in young adults. A scoping review of existing literature and a correlational study of 200 participants revealed significant connections between trauma, mental health, and social capital. The findings suggest that childhood trauma can have lasting impacts on mental health and social relationships, but also highlight the potential for social support networks to buffer the adverse effects of trauma. The study's results inform the development of trauma-informed interventions and social support systems to promote resilience and improve mental health outcomes in young adults with childhood trauma.
