Abstract: An experiment was conducted on 49 genotypes (42 hybrids + 7 parents) obtained through 7× 7 full diallel mating design during Rabi-2020-21 and evaluated in Kharif-2021-22 in three environments created by different dose of fertilizer in RBD with three replications in brinjal at JAU, Junagadh to find out combining ability over environment.The GCA, SCA and RCA and their interaction with environments found significant and nonadditive gene action was predominant for most of traits.The reciprocal difference observed for many traits.The parents JBCL-10-12, GJB-2 and JBCL-16-12 observed good general combiner and crosses 16-12 × Swarnamani Black (SB), JBCL-10-12 × JBCL-16-12, GRB-5 × GJB-2, JBCL-17-01 × GJB-2 and JBCL-10-12 × GJB-3 found specific combiner for fruit yield plant -1 .The significant correlation between per se performance and gca effect and sca effect obtained for many traits.The superior crosses can use as hybrid or as breeding material in future breeding programme.
