Abstract: Cimicidiasis is a dermatological condition that is rarely documented in Brazil. It causes uncomfortable symptoms that can lead to systemic and psychological involvement. Its diagnosis is uncommon, and although it presents with characteristic dermatological lesions, it has numerous confusing differential diagnoses. It is crucial for dermatologists to be familiar with this condition in order to diagnose it correctly, prevent it, provide appropriate treatment, and improve patients’ quality of life. The reported case describes a 34-year-old woman who presented with intense itching on the abdomen, upper, and lower limbs. Upon dermatological examination, erythematopapular-urticated lesions were found, grouped, with regular borders and excoriations. The diagnosis was confirmed by biopsy. The patient had a complete recovery following the use of topical corticosteroids, skin hydration, washing with neutral soap, antihistamines, and oral corticosteroids, along with educational measures for disease prevention.
