Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Clinical Trial
Abstract: Objectives: The research aims to develop a proposed training program for science teachers based on their professional needs and assess its impact on their attitudes toward the teaching profession. Methods: The study employed both descriptive and experimental research methods. The descriptive method was used to determine the training needs of science teachers, while the experimental method was applied to implement the proposed program. The researchers used an experimental design with a single group, conducting pre- and post-tests. A questionnaire was developed to identify training needs, design the training program, and measure attitudes toward the teaching profession. The validity and reliability of these tools were confirmed using statistical methods. The study sample consisted of 30 male and female science teachers. Results: The findings revealed a statistically significant difference between the pre-test and post-test results, favoring the post-test. This indicates that the proposed training program had a positive impact on teachers' attitudes toward the teaching profession. Conclusion: The study concludes that a well-structured training program, tailored to teachers' professional needs, can significantly improve their attitudes toward teaching. Based on the findings, the researchers provided several recommendations and proposals to enhance teacher training.
