Abstract: Prior studies suggest that adenosquamous histology confers a poorer prognosis when compared with other histologic subtypes of carcinoma in the cervix. However, there is limited literature describing the cytologic features of this entity. Herein we report on a series of adenosquamous carcinomas of the uterine cervix diagnosed within our institution to evaluate the range of cytomorphologic features and integrate clinical and genotypic data.
