Year: 2025
Type: article
Abstract: The article discusses value concepts in the modern European space and defines their role in the socialization of Ukrainian youth in Polish educational institutions. It examines the main challenges faced by Ukrainian students when adapting to a new educational environment in Polish schools, including language barriers, cultural differences, and psychological adaptation. The study analyzes the impact of Poland's educational system on shaping students’ value orientations and their integration into the European sociocultural space. Mechanisms for forming students' value orientations in the context of integration into Polish society are also explored. Special attention is given to the role of Poland’s educational system in the socialization process, particularly its influence on fostering tolerance, developing civic awareness, and shaping intercultural competence. The article investigates the possibilities of pedagogical support for Ukrainian students, which facilitates the harmonious assimilation of new values without losing national identity. Emphasis is placed on the importance of intercultural dialogue, support from teachers and the community, and the development of adapted educational programs. Practical recommendations are proposed to ease the integration of Ukrainian students into Polish schools, including the development of tailored curricula, engagement of intercultural assistants, organization of joint cultural events, and the creation of a supportive psychological environment. The study outlines prospects for further research, particularly in the fields of intercultural interaction, emotional adaptation, and the development of inclusive education.
