Abstract: Purpose: Method: Presentation pattern & Management outcome of Steroid Induced Glaucoma in VKC. VKC Children using steroid,2of criteria enrolled: IOP>21mmHg,glaucomatousOD,VFD.Topical steroid divided in 4groups:AHighlypotent: Dexamethasone/betamethasone, B-Moderate:prednisolone, C- Weak:loteprednol/fluorometholone, DUnknown drugs.Active intervention to control IOP.CDVA,IOP,ant.segment,fundus finding noted. Among 68 Result: VKC patients,56use topicalsteroid without prescription.98eyes of 49patients had SIG.Mean age:15±2yr. MeanIOP:32±8mmHg &mean verticalCDratio:0.58±0.25. IOPcontrolled by steroid withdrawal 19eyes, antiglaucoma drugs30eyes, trabeculectomy49eyes.At presentation MeanCDVA better in groupC:6/9. MeanIOP highest in groupA 46.1mmHg foll.by groupD 40.5mmHg.13 had CDVA<3/60. Post treatment CDVA improved,IOP reduced. Conclusion: Steroid misuse in VKC cause complication:OcularHTN/glaucoma.Mild steroids should be used than strong steroids;monitor VA,IOP to identify steroid responders early.
