“Advancing Sustainable Construction: A Novel Investigation into The Performance and Durability of Geo-Polymer Concrete in Extreme Environments”
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The global construction industry faces increasing challenges related to environmental sustainability, including significant carbon emissions and resource depletion. As a viable alternative to traditional Portland cement concrete, Geo-polymer concrete (GPC) offers reduced carbon footprint, enhanced durability, and superior performance characteristics. This research investigates the mechanical properties and long-term durability of GPC under extreme environmental conditions, including thermal stress, chemical exposure, and mechanical loading. By assessing GPC's performance in such scenarios, the study aims to highlight its potential for sustainable construction in harsh environments, contributing to a greener and more resilient infrastructure.
