Contribution à une analyse des déviances médiatiques à l’aune de la construction démocratique au Togo

Abstract: Privileged channels which supply information, the media offer numerous possibilities for the promotion of democracy and the rule of law. However, this apparent luxuriance of media support for democratic consolidation cannot hide the deep embarrassment and inconvenience in the Togolese context where the role of the private written press is subject to multiple interpretations in view of the excesses it exhibits. Which shows a loss of credibility vis-à-vis this private media. From there, by first being in favor of this observation, the present contribution sets out to nuance the reflection in the sense that it strives to demonstrate that the rise in fever of these excesses remainslinked to a series of factors requiring actions from media professionals, but also from those in power, with a view to quality journalism in Togo.KEYWORDS:Media-Deviance -Democracy-Private written press-Misinformation.
