Abstract: We thank Gopal and colleagues, Adegboye and colleagues, and Paul and colleagues, for their Correspondence in response to our Article in The Lancet Global Health.1 Our approach in this study was to develop a simple first-strike model, which articulated the key choices facing policy makers, offering an analysis of options for mpox vaccination that was robust under a wide range of assumptions and in the face of substantial uncertainty about the dynamics of the epidemic in DR Congo.2
