Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The article explores the paradigmatic concept of modern construction development. It examines the evolution of development approaches from initial utilitarian methods to complex management systems based on the integration of economic, social, and environmental aspects. Special attention is paid to the role of strategic goal-setting as a key tool for aligning the interests of stakeholders in construction projects, including clients, investors, contractors, government bodies, and communities. The article analyzes contemporary theoretical approaches to goal management in construction, including innovative tools such as BIM, digital twins, and IoT. Key elements of strategic management are identified, including the formulation of a shared project mission, the development of a multi-level hierarchy of goals, the determination of key performance indicators (KPIs), and communication mechanisms. The importance of "green" construction, modular technologies, and social inclusion as new industry standards is also emphasized. Based on an analysis of recent research, the article identifies the main challenges of strategic goal-setting, such as conflicts of interest, risk management, and adaptation to external changes. Recommendations are formulated to improve the efficiency of construction projects through the implementation of a systematic approach to stakeholder management. The findings are aimed at improving the management of modern construction projects and ensuring their long-term sustainability, making the article relevant for researchers and practitioners in the field of construction development.
