Abstract: The S.M.A.R.T (Minimal Intervention Restorative Technique) technique represents a paradigm shiftin modern dentistry, focusing on preserving the maximum amount of natural tooth structure whileminimizing patient discomfort and the need for anesthesia. This technique aims to offer analternative to conventional restorative procedures that often involve extensive drilling andanesthesia. While traditional methods are well-established for their efficacy, particularly in casesinvolving significant tooth decay, the S.M.A.R.T technique has demonstrated promising results forearly-stage decay and preventive treatment.
