Abstract: A BSTRACT Introduction: The purpose of this retrospective research is to examine the patterns of reintervention and long-term survival rates linked to various surgical approaches used to treat abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). Methods: Retrospective data collection was conducted from a tertiary care centre for the time frame of 2017-2022. Patients [n = 77] with endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), open repair, and hybrid techniques having surgery for diagnosed AAAs were included. Analysis was done on the following: survival rates, follow-up data, perioperative complications, demographics, and causes for reinterventions. Results: There were notable changes in age, comorbidities, and aneurysm diameter ( P < 0.05) across the surgery groups› demographic parameters. At particular time periods, the long-term survival rates differed among the approaches ( P < 0.05). There were differences in the reintervention rates across the groups, with EVAR showing the lowest rates ( P < 0.05). Conclusion: Current research emphasises how crucial it is to take patient demographics and comorbidities into account when deciding on the best surgical strategy for managing AAA. The research places a strong emphasis on the complex relationships between open repair, EVAR, and hybrid treatments and long-term survival and reintervention rates. Comprehending these discrepancies is essential to enhancing patient care and guiding professional judgement in AAA therapies.
