On the quantum parameter in the quantum cohomology of a family of odd symplectic partial flag varieties

Abstract: We will consider a particular family of odd symplectic partial flag varieties denoted by [Formula: see text]. In the quantum cohomology ring [Formula: see text], we will show that [Formula: see text] appears [Formula: see text] times in the quantum product [Formula: see text] when expressed as a sum in terms of the Schubert basis.
