Abstract: The essay that follows is an attempt to think about the circulation of Arabic books and ideas and to reflect on what the introduction of Copto-Arabic texts in the Iberian Peninsula means for the understanding of the intellectual history of the Andalusī Christians, of scholars such as Ramon Martí who lived primarily in the Latin-Christian intellectual orbit, but knew Arabic well and read widely in Arabic texts, and of the possible interconnections between them.
