Abstract: Today, technology, which has reached all parts of the world and surrounds the era, has started to affect the lives of children even before the elementary school level, as of the preschool period. Information and communication technologies lead to the formation of new educational environments, the use of new teaching methods, the change of the traditional educator-child relationship, and this situation leads to an increase in the quality of education. Information and communication technologies offer new opportunities to strengthen many aspects of primary school education in supporting the child's learning and play experiences, the professional learning and development of educators, primary school educational institutions and the relationship between parents and primary school education. In this respect, the use of modern technologies in a wide range of areas for children both at home and in the school environment attracts attention. Dec. The presence of a new generation of children in such a technology-based world and the fact that they have been introduced to technology from a very young age and developed a technological learning language for themselves has brought them the qualification of digital natives. In particular, the Internet offers a very superior education to children by spreading information. The instructors describe this teaching as distance education. Distance education offers many opportunities for achieving the goals in educational systems, raising the quality of education to a higher level and making it possible to teach more subjects from a long distance. Since the COVID-19 virus, which appeared in Wuhan, China in December 2019, spread worldwide in 2020 and caused a pandemic, it is aimed to provide distance education, i.e. online education, to all levels, starting from preschool and primary school levels, in order to continue education. Schools have been closed because the high transmissibility of the virus makes face-to-face education impossible (Lau et al., 2020). With the outbreak also occurring in Turkey, all schools were closed throughout the country, and then this closure period was gradually extended. In this process, important steps have been taken for the transformation of courses into distance education by making the Educational Information Network (EBA), presented by the Ministry of National Education in 2012, more active and cooperating with the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation (TRT). With the inclusion of new educational applications in the pandemic process, the use of technology has become widespread for children since elementary school. In addition to the distance education, the child receives tablets, phones, computers, televisions, etc. to perform various technology activities such as watching cartoons and videos, playing digital games. he was very interested in technological tools and turned to digital media because he could not go out.
