Abstract: This research (Climatic potential of producing pistachios in Erbil governorate) aims to introduce pistachio crop and its climatic requirements, and to evaluate several climatic stations in the study area and determine the suitable level for growing pistachio cultivation in the region. The inductive method was applied to analyze the research topic, and the quantitative analysis method was used to determine the appropriate level of suitability based on the data of the climatic stations. It depended on climate data for the period (2017-2021). ArcGIS 10.4 software was used to prepare the maps. The results, in general, except Mergasur station, indicate the suitability of the study for producing pistachios
