Abstract: Dr. Valentina Aloisi is a global expert in the fields of X-Ray Computed Tomography (X-Ray CT) and dimensional metrology. She holds a PhD, Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Padova, where she gained world renowned education in these areas. During her career, characterized by great passion for NDT, she has contributed significantly to the technological advancements of X-Ray CT in academia and the industry such as medical and aerospace technologies. Dr. Aloisi has held key positions across the US and Germany where she currently leads X-Ray Product Management at Carl Zeiss Industrial Quality Solutions. In this article, Dr. Aloisi highlights the importance of grit, perseverance and education in achieving success. She highlights the growing role of women in shaping the future of NDT and encourages women to pursue their dreams. Her journey stands as a testament to the impact of passion, dedication and expertise in a field where women continue to break barriers.
